Official Return of the Ghostbusters trailer released!!

Head on over to Braxtan Film to take a look at the offical trailer for Return of the Ghostbusters. This trailer looks amazing I'm not going to divulge anything about the trailor, but all I will say is this is even better than FvGB. While your there make sure you check out the message board for the latest updates and comments about the movie. Also, feel compelled to be apart of a fan film, but don't have the knowledge, people, etc. to do it?? Donate to the movie, and anything over $10 will get your name in the credits. This is a great way to help speed up the process, and show your friends that you were a contributor to a fan film.

Happy 5th anniversary!!!!

It's amazing how fast time flies?? Five years ago today I started The Grid over on geocities. I didn't keep it on there for long before I moved it to topcities, and that is where she stayed for the last 4 to 4 1/2 years. To celebrate the fifth anniversary (do many sites even stay around that long anymore?) I have acquired a domain name, and hosting service. So The Grid can no longer be reached at the old Topcities address, but now you can get to it by going to http://www.gbgrid.com.

A few more announcements to make. I have opened a message board that everyone can go to, to give suggestions for the site, and just talk about Ghostbusters. I know there isn't much there right now, but with your help I'll tweak it over time. You can either click the link in the navigation or here. Finally I'm beginning plans for a internet radio show, or podcast if you want to call it that named Ghostheads. There's a few sections on the messageboard that for everyone's input on what you would like to hear, etc.

Finally in a few hours I will be posting my review of the new Ghostbusters Gift Set. I'm analyzing it pretty heavy against the '99 release to see how will it holds up. The results should be interesting.

Utility belt from Ghostbusters II up for auction.

A quick glance through eBay today, to see what was up on the auction block. I came across this, one of the utility belts used in Ghostbusters II is up for bid, by Profiles in History. To quote the auction:

"267. Proton Pack utility belt from Ghostbusters II. (Columbia, 1989) Heavy webbed nylon utility belt with leather holster and attached yellow proton pack. Comes with a certificate of authenticity from Columbia. $1,500 - $2,000"

Titan Books' Press Release on Hard Day's Fright!

That's right ghostheads, straight from the horses mouth, Titan has released a press anouncement on there new digest based off of the Marvel UK Real Ghostbusters series. Release date is set for August 26, 2005, with a price of 5.99 (pounds not dollars). Not quite sure what the conversion is American, but it shouldn't be out of any US ghostheads price range. New info on 20th anniversary DVD.
Chuck from over at the GBHQ MB chimes in with a bit of news about the new DVD. He's reporting that Sony is dumping a lot of money into this new dvd. How much is anyone's guess. I sure it's around several million dollars. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an announcement sometime between January and March of 2005. Happy 4th anniversary The Grid!
I know it's three days late, but work had me all tied up. To think it's been four years since I started work on this site. A lot of things have changed.

I started work on this site on an old Packard Bell desktop computer running Windows 95, now I'm between a HP a-345w desktop computer running Windows XP Home Edition, and Dell Inspiron 600m running Windows XP Professional.

Some people have asked me that since I've been working on this site since August 3, 2000 have I ever gotten bored with it? Not really. This is a very interesting community to run a site for. We've had tons of flame wars on several different message boards, been left down time and time again on many different things. Now we are becoming cool and dare I say popular again. The site for that matter has come from getting one or two visitors (besides myself) to going over it's alotted amount of traffic for the day and month for days sometimes weeks on end.

Now I know a lot of you are saying were's the new design, party favors, and free ballons for the kids? I wish I could give everyone a gift, but I think the people at 88MPH, NECA, iBooks, etc. are doing just that. I had thought about a new design for the site, but I could never come up with one that I liked. So I'm gonna keep the present one for a long time. Besides this is the design that I always had in my head. It just took three years for it to come to life. Although I do plan to stream line it, by fixing a few things and adding a few here and there. If you see anything that needs fixed send me an e-mail, and I'll get on it. I do have two things that I would like to do, but I'm not sure time and money would allow me to do it. I would like to get a domain for the site, and add a web show for all to download kinda like the Interdimensional Crossrip, or the never seen Talk Spook.

So enjoy everything the site has to offer and be prepared for the future.

Definite release date for The Zeddemore Factor.
Sebastian popped in the Ghostbusters HQ Message Board yesterday saying that the release date of The Zeddemore Factor won't be until July 22nd (the first day of the San Diego Comic Con). So what will happen is this since Legion #2 is being released on July 21st, Graham Crackers Comics will ship both TZF and Legion #2 at the same time. Giving you a lot more to read. Latest on news on Legion comics release dates.
Sebastian popped in yesterday over on the GBHQ:MB to confirm that the reprint of issue #1 of Legion will hit stands on June 30. With the reprint there will be adjustments made in quality, etc. He also said that Legion #2 will be out July 21st, with #3 and #4 to follow soon after. To read the full post click this link.

Straczynski to Enterprise. One to beam up.
It seems RGB story writer J. Michael Straczynski might make the jump to a Star Trek series, as reported from Slashdot.org. Earlier this year Stracznyski wrote a treatment for a new Star Trek series with Dark Skies creator Bryce Zabel. This will hopefully fix the problem with the franchise right now. 88 updates us on all things comics.
If you haven't been to the 88 MPH Studios website recently you have been missing out big time. The reprint of Legion #1 will be out on June 30th. So make sure your copy is reserved, since its likely they'll go fast. Ghostbusters #3 Monthly Series was announced dealing with Vinz Clortho and a new ghost with a possible team up. Also a special comic will be distributed at the San Diego Comic Con by the Graham Crackers Comics and Toyzz.com booths. The comic entitled "The Zeddemore Factor," will talk about Winston's first night as a Ghostbuster. Finally, since three days ago was the start of the 20th anniversary that Ghostbusters was released to theaters 88 is promising special promotions and prizes through out the year. Stay tuned Ghostheads looks the rest of 2004 and the first half of 2005 is gonna rock!!

Ernie Hudson at Adventure Con 3!
That's right ghostheads this weekend June 5-6 Ernie Hudson will be signing autographs at Adventure Con 3 in Knoxville Tennessee. If there any ghostheads in the area make sure you try and get an autograph from Mr. Hudson, get a couple pictures (if possible), and anything else you can think of.
